When did you start an interest in rodeo?
Once I jumped the Crib

What other sports other than rodeo do you enjoy?
Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Skiing
What is the funniest thing that you have seen or experienced at a rodeo?
"Seeing Leon Coffee dancing and the
clown acts"
What advice would you give to Indian youth about rodeo or anything in general?
"Listen and be thankful to your
parents, to practice basics of the sport (rodeo), have an open mind,
seek and attend clinics, practice, practice, practice
and never give up"!!!
What advice would you give to Indian youth who wanted to participate in rodeo but didn’t have the resources or support to get involved?
"Join a Rodeo club in your community, 4-H,
Horsemanship program, etc."
Are their any songs that inspire or pump you up before you ride or rope?
"AC/DC, the song Thunderstruck"
What would you like to see more of at Indian Rodeos?
"Added money and bigger payoffs"
What are/is your favorite western movie(s)? "Cowboy
Way"
What is your favorite music? "R & B hip
hop and listening to my sister sing her NAC songs"
What was your most memorable ride or run?
"Winning the average at the 1990 Navajo
Nation Fair, when my father was here with us. The look on his
face was priceless!"
Who is your all time hero?
"My Father, the late, Tommy Nez
Sr. His love for horses, generosity, great love for his family
and friends, makes him my all time hero."
What Indian Cowboy or Cowgirl has influenced you to rodeo?
"My sister Renita Anderson and Uncle Ron
Etsitty and Randy Nez who says (I quote) "Don't worry about the
small stuff!"
