Indian Rodeo Queens

Miss Indian Rodeo America 1996

Valerie Key
San Carlos Apache

Valerie Key is also part Tohono O'odam, Pima, and Kiowa.  She comes from San Carlos Arizona.

Valerie was crowned Miss Indian Rodeo America at the Indian National Finals rodeo held in Rapid City South Dakota.

Here is some words from Valerie:

I am proud to represent each of these tribes that I am. I was crowned at INFR 1996 in Rapid City South Dakota.   We are such a little town, and I was so honored to represent my Tribe and all Indian Tribes across America and Canada in the sport of Professional Indian Rodeo.

My year as Miss Indian Rodeo America was an experience I will never forget, and I hope that I will be able to help younger cowgirls reach their dreams of becoming queens also.

Valerie has sent us her picture and bio, we are waiting for it and will publish her picture on her page here at Indian Rodeo News.com.

Valerie serves as a role model for younger cowgirls who want to be a rodeo queen.   With her experience as Miss Indian Rodeo America,  she, along with other past Miss Indian Rodeo America's will be able to support our Indian women in reaching their goals to be future Miss Indian Rodeo's and we hope to see more Indian girls winning state rodeo queen titles, and competing in the Miss Rodeo America pageant, Miss Rodeo USA, and Miss Rodeo Canada pageants.

We are looking forward to receiving Valerie's pictures soon.  She has contacted us, so check back daily to read more information about this great rodeo queen!

Please email us  with your profile and picture.  We encourage all rodeo queens to submit something for future young Indian ladies who would like to become a rodeo queen or princess and we all know that starting out as a princess is good experience.  Rodeo Queens
