Fantastic Year for Marty Hebb
Although
Marty Hebb inched his way to the 16th
hole he was all set on making the Wrangler
National Finals in Las Vegas in two weeks.
Hebb had a phenomenal year winning over
$50,000 chasing his dream of riding at the
NFR. Marty this is a “BIG pat on the
back” from Indian Country. You have
many friends, family and fans that were
pulling for you to make it to the finals
rodeo in Las Vegas!
Marty and I
chatted on his cell phone last week as he
was going to a rodeo in New York, Its just
one of those challenges all Cowboys go
through… Believe me Marty; you have it to
make it big! I don’t know if any of you
know Marty well, I just recently in the last
few years of reporting for Indian Rodeo News
became an acquaintance to Mr. Hebb. This
Cowboy is of some fine up bringing, and he
carries his-self with so much class. I
think its pretty darn cool that you can hold
your head up and walk with the “Best of
Them”.
In this year
of 2005 I followed a lot of the ProRodeo’s
out here in the Northwest and I watched the
Badland boys- Marty Hebb, Jeremy Meeks, Luke
Meeks, Rollie Wilson and Brian Curtis
compete at some of our toughest Northwest
rodeos, and they all made some “Choice”
appearances. I asked Marty what he liked
doing while he was traveling this year, and
his reply was- “I like to see the country
I’m visiting” see my friends/competitors. I
asked what was his favorite place to eat.
Marty said- I like all kinds of food, I try
to eat healthy… But sometimes I just like
McDonalds. I don’t Know what it is.. I just
haven’t gotten tired of McDonalds yet. Its
alright Marty! MCDONALDS! Did you hear
that? Hebb may need a Prominent sponsor
for his 2006 PRCA Year – And all the Native
American Casinos out there! These Native
American ProRodeo Cowboys could be your
walking billboard. Marty, Just go get’em in
January!
