Rodeo will start at 1pm.

Raefield Benson Memorial 

45 Years, the Yakama Indian Rodeo Association annually sponsors the Treaty Days All Indian Rodeo which is held at the YIRA rodeo grounds in White Swan Washington June 7-9.

The association members have been working since early
spring this year in preparing the for the event. 

YIRA has four queen candidates this year competing for
Treaty Days All Indian Rodeo Queen. And there are three young
ladies who are competing for the Jr. YIRA rodeo queen title. 
This is a exciting event for all Indian Rodeo cowboys and cowgirls, and this years rodeo will feature an increased emphasis on rodeo events that relate to cultural heritage and youth development. Most of us who have attended the White Swan rodeo remember the colorful grand entry featuring traditional riders, a mass of rodeo contestants, star spangled glitter from the many visiting rodeo royalty courts, the flag carriers, including the Red and White flag of Canada representing the visiting Canadian Indian cowboys and cowgirls, and 
the sounds of war hoops from rodeo association members as everyone enters the rodeo arena.
